NVI Wins GSA 8(a) STARS Contract with a $15 Billion Ceiling
Washington DC/Lanham MD – June 11, 2004 – NucoreVision, Inc. (NVI) announced that it received a contract award from GSA for the 8(a) Streamlined Technology Acquisition Resources for Services (STARS). This multiple award government-wide acquisition contract (GWAC) is an indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract with a value ceiling of $15 billion.
STARS replaces GSA’s former 8(a) FAST contract that is scheduled to expire October 31, 2004. STARS is the latest contract vehicle for technology solutions designed to promote small business utilization when acquiring technology solutions for the federal government. In addition to having a broad-based IT scope that encompasses 8 functional disciplines, STARS has an attractive administrative fee of .75% and it allows client agencies to received 8(a) credit through the use of this vehicle. NVI is an 8(a) firm, as well as a HUBZone concern, current GSA IT Schedule provide, and GSA HUBZone Fast contractor. The firm specializes in information assurance, network management, help desk support, and e-learning. During STARS’ 7-year contract term (3 year base period + two 2-year options), NVI will aggressively pursue IT contracts in the functional areas of Computer Systems Design Services, Computer Facilities Management Services, and Other Computer Related Services.
